Overview

Plant Assistant & Care ("Plant Assistant", "the App", "we", or "us") is developed by Rizwan Ihsan. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have when using the App and this website.

Information We Collect

• Account data: If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive your name, email address, and a unique account identifier.
• Plant data: Plant names, rooms, photos, care notes, watering logs, fertilizer logs, reminders, and related plant profile details you add.
• AI interactions: Messages, photos, and context you send to Plant Expert features so the App can generate identification, summaries, and care guidance.
• Subscription data: App Store subscription status and purchase validation information needed to unlock premium access.
• Usage and diagnostics: Basic app events, crash information, and performance data used to improve reliability and product quality.

How We Use Information

• To identify plants, generate care summaries, answer plant care questions, and provide reminders.
• To sync your plants, photos, logs, and preferences across your devices.
• To manage premium access, free trials, subscriptions, and restore purchases.
• To keep the App secure, troubleshoot issues, and improve features.

Photos, Camera, and AI

Plant Assistant uses photos only when you choose to add or analyze them. Photos may be processed by AI services to provide plant identification, health analysis, summaries, and chat responses. We do not sell your photos or use your personal data for third-party advertising.

Third-Party Services

• Firebase by Google: Authentication, database, file storage, cloud functions, analytics, and diagnostics.
• OpenAI: AI-powered plant identification, analysis, summaries, and chat responses.
• Apple StoreKit: App Store purchases, subscriptions, free trials, and receipt validation.

These services process information according to their own privacy policies and security practices.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the App, comply with legal obligations, protect rights and safety, or complete actions you request.

Storage, Security, and Retention

App data is stored using Firebase services with encryption in transit and at rest. We retain your account and plant data while your account is active or as needed to provide the App. You can delete your account and associated data from the App settings. Account deletion requests are completed within 30 days unless retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

Your Choices and Rights

• You can choose whether to grant camera, photo library, and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
• You can edit or delete plants, photos, logs, and notes inside the App.
• You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data by contacting support.
• If you are in a region with privacy rights, such as the EEA, UK, or California, you may have additional rights under applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Plant Assistant is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide notice in the App, on this page, or by another appropriate method.
